With a background in fine art (Furman University 1976) and interior design (University of Georgia 1977), Lorraine Plaxico approaches illustration with both technical and artistic attention to detail.

As in-house illustrator for a large architecture firm in Columbia, SC, she participated in a wide variety of projects, including resorts, commercial and retail properties. She then operated her own rendering firm for seven years before moving to Asheville in 1996, working with that area's retirement and second-home community.

Lorraine has worked with local and national architects, developers, interior designers, landscape architects and home owners, making their houses and buildings come alive with her own recognizable style.
